3 smaller tournaments played this past weekend.
Played the finals 3 times and won 2 out of 3. Not too bad, but still... ;)
The first tournament was Saturday afternoon; Open Obus. Happy with my performance throughout the day, but still room for improvement as some games I am too inconsistent in my scoring or finishing. Won the final from Marie-Christine De Becker 5-3. Great final.
The second tournament was Saturday evening; Vlegelke New Year's tournament. Inconsistency was still there, but still managed to come out as 2nd in the mixed round robin, but then lost the 1st game in the main round. No finish, no win. ;)
There was also a separate ladies' round which I did win. Played the final against Lindsay Derenette and won 4-1. She took the first leg in which her game was good. Practice, self-confidence and a little guidance is what she needs.
Third tournament was Sunday in Rijen, The Netherlands. Played pairs with Rudy Van Alphen first. We won the first round, but lost to Bryan de Hoog and his partner.
To be honest I should've lost the first game in the singles already. I played really, really lousy. Like I'd never played the game before in my life. Terrible. Was 2-0 down but won 3-2. Shame, shame, shame.
I played crappy all throughout the day, but made it to the finals anyway. Quarter and semi I played okay. I played the final against Patricia De Peuter and lost 4-0. I played an absolutely horrible game. Couldn't score 60 to save my life.
So, all in all it wasn't a bad weekend, but I am determined to get rid of that damned inconsistency.
