Sunday the pairs were played. I played with Margaret (Maggie) Sutton.
First round we played an Austrian pair. Sisters I think. Binder & Binder. Both sporting kilts. We won 4-0. Quite a few people wearing kilts actually and most were Austrian and not Scottish....
Second round we played Meneghetti/ Thaler. Dropped one leg, thus won 4-1. Third round we struggled quite a bit, but we won 4-2. We played against a Czech pair; Leciànovà/ Korcàkovà.
In the semis we played the Finnish pair; Viinikainen/ Liiri. Unfortunately we lost 4-1. They did deserve to win though. My game was definitely way off. :(
The ladies' pairs were won by Hedman/ Groves. Runners-up were Viinikainen/ Liiri.
Nice trophy to take home though. :D
The men's pairs were won by the pair Coughlin/ Labanauskas. Runners-up were the Norwegian duo; Johansen/ Hansen.
Had a great evening afterwards with Deta, Paul, Maggie, Marie, Onnie, Jelger and Carl.
