Sunday, April 7th it was time for the pairs.
Our first game was at 10:00H against Fie Skinnes and Gitte Banke (DK). We didn't play extremely well, but we won.
The board final was the toughest game. Too many missed doubles and in all fairness; the opponents weren't half bad. Though actually the one girl; Natasja, did most of the "work" ;)
Anyway, we made it to the semi-finals and these were played on stage.
We played the first semi-final against Lumi Silvan and Rachna David (FIN/ NO). It was a very good game for both parties; lots of T, T40 and one 180 from Anca. :)
We all missed the double in the first leg but eventually Lumi and Rachna took it out and they were 1-0 up.
I hit the double in the next leg in the weirdest way possible, but a finish is a finish :) So, 1-1.
Unfortunately we missed the doubles after that so we lost 3-1. But, all in all, satisfied because it was a very good game.
The second semi-final in the ladies pairs: Irina Armstrong. Aileen De Graaf against Fallon Sherrock and Elin Mortensen (DK). Irina and Aileen won.
The final of the ladies pairs was won by Irina and Aileen.
The men's pairs were won by Peter Sajwani and Marcus Elffors from Sweden.
Anca and I collected our prize money and then headed back home. I drove a lot of kilometers this weekend. :)
