There were 21 ladies pairs and in the first round we were up against the French favorite and her pairs partner.
Anneke Kuijten/ Kathy Geeraerts vs Carole Frison/ Sylvie Thomas 3-0
Anneke Kuijten/ Kathy Geeraerts vs Fabienne Joly/ Colette Rudin 3-1
Anneke Kuijten/ Kathy Geeraerts vs Nathalie Gauchard/ Lydie Leclerq 3-1
We played the final on stage against Aileen De Graaf and Rachna David. We lost 4-2. Couldn't find my trebles. The spotlights reflected on the wire causing it to seem like playing on a 3D board. Really weird.
Santino Broer and Jeffrey Bekema lost to the Belgian pair Tanguy Borra and Francois Schweyen. These two won the final from Martin Goodin and Cyril Blot.
After we collected our prizes we headed home.
We had been driving for 20 minutes when Anneke received a call from Rachna David. Apparently she was stuck in Gerardmer but needed to get to Epinal so she could get to Basel-Mulhouse the next morning to catch her flight to the UK. So I turned the car around to pick her up. We grabbed a bite to eat first and rhen drove to Epinal. We dropped Rachna off at the train station and then we were finally homeward bound.
We got to my place around midnight.
I just need to grab my other suitcase and then I'm off to the Winmau World Masters.
