After a short night I left for France bright and early. (Well, bright....)
I arrived at the venue a little after nine AM and it was already warm. The forecast being sunny and hot. Around 32 degrees.
My first game was at 1030 against Nienke Brasser. I struggled on my doubles and in all fairness she's not a bad player, but I managed to win 4-2.
My next game promised to be a bit harder as I was up against Casey Gallagher at 1130.
It was a tough game, but a good one which I lost 4-3.
I went 1-0 up and then Casey made it 1-1 as I missed the double. I then went 2-1 up, Casey made it 2-2 and then 3-2. I managed to make it 3-3 and then made the mistake of stubbornly going for 20 with my first dart even though 20 wasn't going that well at that stage.
I got a chance at 150 but hit S3 - of course :( -, S19 and T20 leaving myself on 68, but Casey checked with her second dart.
Happy with the way I played though and of course bummed because I could've gone another round, but... Tomorrow's another day and currently the form is good.
