Drove to Bremen for the German Gold Cup Friday afternoon. A nice 4-hour drive; 406 km. :)
Friday night the mixed pairs were played. I paired with Dimitri Van den Bergh. We played really well together but lost the quarter finals to Ann-Kathrin and Dominik Wigmann. (brother and sister). 3-2, so a tight game, but last leg was theirs for the taking. Both are really excellent players.
Saturday the singles were played.
I was in group 7 and my first game was at 10:25H on board 7. I won against Claudia Blankenhorn 3-1. My reward for that was Irinia Armstrong in the second round at 12:30H.
I lost 3-2 because I missed double 18 to check out 108. I pulled the last dart down which made it go into the single 4. And then Irina checked out 60.
It was a good game and I'm happy with the way I played. Better luck next time.

Winner men's singles: Rick Hofstra (NL) who hit a 9-darter in the semi-final.
Runner-up men's singles: Tomas Seyler (D)
In the evening I went to a ranking tournament were I won the round robin and then lost second round to Junni Ruiter 3-2. :D
