Saturday morning finds us all at the Städtische Sporthalle in Bochum for another edition of the Bull's German Open.
Always good to be here. :)
I had a bye in the first round. My first game was scheduled at 11:50H on board 65. There was a bit of a delay though so it was 12:20H almost when Deborah Gordon and I could finally start our game. I won 3-1. Quite happy with my game though it wasn't brilliant either.
Everything on our board was delayed thus my next game didn't start at the scheduled time either. Annoying, but it happens... I played Ann Waslin next and won 3-2. Lucky. It was a good game. A bit of double trouble, but a good game.
Next round I played against Zoe Jones and couldn't hit a treble to save my life. "Woke up" in the 3rd leg, but by then it was too late. Lost 3-0 and thus last 32 was my end station today.
The Ladies' single today was won by Anastasia Dobromyslova who beat Lorraine Winstanley in the final.
The men's single was won by Darryl Fitton beating James Wilson in the final.
Girl's champion is Shauni Wastyn (Belgium) and boy's champion is Colin Roelofs (The Netherlands)
