Friday morning, 06:00H and I was off to Police, Poland for a weekend of darts.
Picked up Hans Broer around 07:00H in Venlo. We got there around 15:00H in the afternoon and it was very hot there. Around 30 degrees.
Friday night started with the warm-up pairs. I paired with Lumi Silvan from Finland.
The ladies started with some delay. Power went out twice before we could finally start playing.
Pia Airisniemi/Camilla Svensson vs Kathy Geeraerts/ Lumi Silvan 0-3
Elin Forsman/Jennie Voittonen vs Kathy Geeraerts/ Lumi Silvan 0-3
Anca Zijlstra/ Deta edman vs Kathy Geeraerts/ Lumi Silvan 0-3
Aleksandra Grzesik/Jolanta Rzepka vs Kathy Geeraerts/ Lumi Silvan 0-3
Lumi and I won the warm-up pairs ladies on Friday :) Happy days
Saturday morning the Polish Open 2014 singles event started at 10:00H. After the thunder storm and the rain it was a bit cooler luckily. :)
I was the number 7 seed, but lost my first game to Tove Lauridsen from Denmark. Major double trouble and Tove checked out with the first dart the first three legs and needed two darts for the last one. She played well. We both did, but well... If you don't hit the doubles in the end; you can't win.
Aileen De Graaf won the ladies singles. Deta Hedman was runner-up.
Alan Norris won the men's singles. James Hurrell was runner-up. Cracking game that.
