Left the cold and rainy weather behind this morning and here I am now, in Bucharest, Romania where it is nice and warm. :) Around 30 degrees Celcius during the day.
Had a pretty smooth flight and the hotel is only 15 minutes from Otopeni Airport. Though I think the cabby overcharged me. It was a little over 27 lei and I gave him 50; telling him 30's okay. I got 12 lei back. :-\ Never been very good at math, but 50 - 30 is still 20 last time I checked.
The venue is in a different part of the hotel. Other building actually. I can see it from my balcony, but I'm going to have to figure out how to get there tomorrow morning after breakfast.
Since they charge 5 euros per 24 hours of Wifi access in the room I'm not promising that there will be a daily update. Then again... There's always the PC's in the business centre downstairs. :)
There is a warming-up tournament tomorrow; starting at 19:00H. Venue opens at 13:00H. On Saturday the singles will be played. Men start at 10 and the ladies at 16:00H after the lunch break. Men will play until the last 16 and the ladies until the semis. Pairs will be played on Sunday. Ladies and men will start at 10:00H.
The last 16 of the men's singles and the semis of the ladies' singles will continue at 15:00H. At 17:00H the ladies and men's pairs finals will be played on stage. Finally at approximately 19:00H the men's singles semis and finals and the ladies singles finals will be played on stage.
Prize presentation is planned for 22:00H.
