This morning I was at the venue way too early. :) Better too early than too late though. IT was pretty cold there though. And I cannot play well with cold hands.
I played pairs with Suzana Neagu. She is also from Romania. And her game has definitely improved a hell of a lot. Getting better every year. I only see her once a year so I notice. ;)
I played really poorly during our first game. We played against Daniela Anca Comeaga and Oana Tapu. We were 2-0 down but won 4-2. All thanks to Suzana who finished 3 out of 4 legs.
We then had to play Anelia Eneva and Joanna Andreea Constantinescu. There weren't that many pairs so this was the semi already. We lost 4-1 to them. I played better than before, but still shite. The marker got on my nerves. She was Bulgarian. She kept making mistakes, couldn't stand still for longer than 2 seconds, turned to look at you and she told Anelia what she had left a few times. A marker is supposed to be objective, stand still and is not allowed to say anything. Unless the player asks and then he or she can only say what was scored and not what was left.
Anyway... Naught to be done.
Anelia and Andreea won the pairs against Silvia Nicolescu and Mihaela Ivan.
The winners of the men's pairs were Vlad Popa and Alexandru Stoian.
All in all it was a disappointing weekend from a darts point-of-view. Other than that... It was great seeing everyone again and I had a wonderful time.
I will certainly try to get back there in January. Will have to bring a whole bunch of very warm sweaters then though. :D
