Just a little story that happened in Selsey which I thought I'd share with y'all. It'll be funny for you lot. Not so much for me at the time.
Our caravan had a spider in the shower though. And I really don't like the eight-legged freaks. Useful though they may be in eliminating mosquitos and what not. :-|
I discovered the fiend when I wanted to take a shower on Friday night. There it was; sitting in the middle of its web right above the shower door. And no way in hell I'm getting in the shower when there's one of them lurking about.
Maggie went to catch it, but it went into hiding and was nowhere to be found. :( Rest assured that I was not going anywhere near the shower as long as I didn't know where it was. The toilet was also in there, so... But, there was another toilet in the larger bedroom, so I decided to go there.... I opened the door, turned on the light and right above the toilet there's another one of them eight-legged freaks!!! Different kind, but a spider nonetheless. so, no way I was going in there either. :-[
Maggie and Donna thought it was thoroughly amusing. I didn't. But, well.... At some point the call of nature gets too strong so I had to go; Spider or no spider. :s
I opened the bathroom door and did a little check via the mirror hanging on the opposite wall. Didn't want any nasty surprises like the damn thing jumping on me. Anyway, I didn't see it, but when I looked toward the shower I could see 3 of its legs sticking up out of its hidey hole. Well... at least I knew where it was.
Next morning I checked again and sure enough it was still there; 3 legs sticking out. Maggie went into the shower first and I told her to stuff some toilet paper on top of its hide-out so it couldn't get out. She did. :) Felt a bit safer after that. So I went into the shower after she'd got out. double-checked just in case there was another one though.
Saturday evening I was sitting in the living room watching TV and Maggie was in the kitchen making a sandwich when I caught movement out of the corner of my eye. And behold; another one of them freaks. I jumped up and stomped on it and to make sure I killed it I also made a pirouette. :-|
Give me a mouse or a rat any day. :-\
