Singles were played today. The ladies singles started at noon.
To my surprise I was the number 5 seed. Not a bad thing as that meant I was not going to meet any of the other seeded ladies before the quarter finals.
I had a bye in the first round and then played Fiona Gaylor (CH). The format was the same as last year; best of 3 sets, best of 3 legs.
I took the first set quite easily, but then gave away the second set by missing my doubles. 1-1 in the 3rd and deciding set and then luck was on my side and I managed to take the set with a 65 finish.
Next round I played Rita Koller. Won 2-0 in sets. Not my best game of the day. Too many ups and downs.
In the quarter finals I had to play Sharon Prins. She was just more consistent than I was. So, she won 2-0. :) Fair and square and well deserved.
The ladies singles winner is Irina Armstrong. Sefanie Lück was runner-up.
The men's singles winner is Remco van Eijden. Geert De Vos is runner-up.
