Swiss Open 2013-3

Got home from Switserland about an hour ago. I got a nice surprise this morning in the B&B.... They had a guest book and when I looked inside I saw that the post-it I left them last year to thank them for everything was actually the first entry :D I was so touched by that. They started with a guest book because of my thank you note. Really, so very sweet.

My GPS found an alternative route between the B&B and the venue btw. :) No more "Six Flags" like roads. :D

Anyway... Pairs today. I paired up with Jenny Strauch. She's from Germany.

There were only 12 ladies pairs, so we played in two groups of 6. The first 4 pairs went on to the quarter finals.

Our first game was also the toughest; against Irina Armstrong and Karina Kaenzig. Needless to say we lost. :s We did win our next 3 games though. We then lost our last game to Steffi Lück and Sabrina Nickel.

We were through to the quarter finals though. :D

In the quarter finals we played Marene Westermann and Morena Wolf. Nothing went in anymore.... :( Plus Morena checked with 2 darts the first two legs. We did get a chance to go 2-1, but missed the friggin' double. :-\

Anyway, 5th place again today. And actually I don't think Jenny and I played too badly together, seeing as how it was the first time. Plus, Jenny checked most of the time so... Danke Jenny!!!

Ladies pairs were won by Colette Rudin and Bianka Strauch. (Yup, Jenny's mom)

Men's pairs were won by Remco van Eijden and Dennis Commissaris.
