I packed my other suitcase and wound down for about an hour before I left for Brunssum to meet Anca Zijlstra.
Patrick drove us to Weeze and from there we flew to Leeds-Bradford. Our flight left at 06:55H. We were both dead tired but still needed to get to Hull. Anca got a little shut-eye on the plane; I didn't.
We took the bus from the airport to the bus station and from there a coach to Hull station. The coach left at noon so we had plenty of time to kill. Always fun to watch people. :) Even if both of us looked like walking dead ourselves. Lol.
The trip to Hull lasted about an hour and 45 minutes. We walked around in the shopping mall for a bit and then went to the hotel to check in.
We are staying at the Old Grey Mare just across from the University. To get to our room we have to walk up 24 steps, down 8 and throug 7 fire doors. I'm not kidding.
We freshened up, went down for dinner and were back in the room by 18:00H. Anca was out like a light immediately; I read for half an hour and then I went to sleep as well. I was up for 37 hours. I slept 12.
Tuesday we explored the shopping mall and hit the Starbucks (big grin) first thing. They have 2 Starbucks shops here and one of them is about 500 meters from a Waterstones bookstore. I have died and gone to heaven. Ha, ha, ha. :D
We had dinner in the Flaming Grill and then we played some darts with a few Irish lads.
Tomorrow we hit Costello Stadium for some serious dart playing.
